No one has the right to consciously hurt other people, yet sometimes we are just nincompoops and we run around with tunnel vision and we don’t recognize the harm we are causing others with our ill-considered behavior.
Once upon a time, there were three bricklayers.
When asked, “What are you doing?” the first bricklayer replied:
“I’m laying bricks.”
The second bricklayer was asked the same question. He answered:
“I’m putting up a wall.”
The third bricklayer, when asked the question “What are you doing?” responded, with pride in his voice:
“I’m building a castle.”
I wear eyeglasses and I wear them with pride. I have many different frames and different lenses, some of them sit visibly on my nose –or hang around my neck- and help me see things a little clearer, while others are invisible to people around me.
