Not often, but sometimes idealistic people will step in the ring and fight against the cold, cruel world and land a knock-out, personally I wish it would happen more often.

We don’t have children, so I might not be able to spread the joy in the same way, but I hope from the bottom of my heart, that I will be playing in the mud just for the fun of it…later on, when I will be an old Lady.
“Happy Mother’s Day,” he said, looked at me and gave me the receipt. He meant well, so do all the others, wishing me the same thing over and over since years. Now I just smile politely, a smile that doesn’t reach my eyes and everybody who knows me, would notice. The strangers in the stores they don’t know me, they don’t notice. How could they? It’s their job to be polite to customers. They mean no harm. The younger ones, who don’t have children, think about their own mothers. The older ones, who have children smile, think about their own kids. It’s natural…so it seems.

I am to the point where I almost avoid the news, try not to read too much. I have a morning ritual, read worldwide newspages that I like, but try to keep it short and sweet lately. There is only so much bad stuff I can take on a daily base.
I read this a while back and if we would have children or grandchildren, I would wish for the same. Some changes we made over the last 30-50 years were not for the better, that’s my humbled opinion.
