For some it might be just a silly joke, for others it will be honest truth:

Ireland outlawed smoking in closed public spaces and at workplaces on March 29, 2004. Making Ireland the first country in the world to institute an outright ban on smoking in workplaces, with fines of up to €3,000 on the spot.
An older, tired-looking dog wandered into my yard.
I could tell from his collar and well-fed belly that he had a home and was well taken care of.
He calmly came over to me, I gave him a few pats on his head; he then followed me into my house, slowly walked down the hall, curled up in the corner and fell asleep. An hour later, he went to the door, and I let him out.
Ole and Lena went to the same Lutheran Church. Lena went every Sunday and taught Sunday School. Ole went on Christmas and Easter, and maybe a few times during the year.
One Sunday, Ole was sitting in the pew right behind Lena and got to noticing what a fine looking woman she was.
I declared my self an award free zone a while back, mainly because I didn’t have the time to fulfill the requirements for nominations and awards here on WordPress.
Today I am going to make an exception from my own rule -what can I say, I am female after all. Earlier today I got an email, that I almost deleted. I opened it and to my surprise it was an award that I didn’t expect. My little blog The happy Quitter has been named “a top smoking cessation blog of 2015” by the medical team of Healthline, right along with the American Lung Association and other great smoking blogs and communities.
The National Youth Tobacco Survey 2014 is shocking on so many levels. You would think that our lawmakers might find the need to react now, but then who am I kidding. I watched TV last night and I couldn’t believe it, there was an e-cigarette commercial, right at prime time. Haven’t we learned anything? So we don’t allow tobacco commercials anymore, but now we allow the advertisement of electronic cigarettes?
Law of Probability – The probability of being watched is directly proportional to the stupidity of your act.
I love to prepare food for family, friends and neighbors. That is the Italian in me, like a shepherd dog trying to herd them all together around a table, that is my alltime favorite thing to do. I love to plan special dinners and they are not special because of the ingredients, no, they are special because of the company.
I was rich! Went to bed dirt poor and woke up a Millionair, at least thats how I felt. I was 19 years old and had just gotten $500 out of the blue. An older gentleman, a neighbor who I adored when I was a kid and who I pestered every chance I got, had just died a couple of weeks earlier. His daughter visited us the night before, she talked with my Grandmother for a long time and then they both handed me an envelope with a bunch of money. The old Italian currency Lira was not really worth the paper it was printed on, if I remember right 10,000 lira were about $5. So, I had an envelope full with money bills. Yes, I felt rich.
I don’t have surreal experiences, but I have my moments and that has been like that all my life -as far as I can remember. It doesn’t happen too often, sometimes not for years, but then out ot the blue it hits me.
