When I have time to worry about being too busy, perhaps I am not as busy as I thought I would be? How can I possibly have time to write a blog post -yet here I am. The end of the year is the busiest time of the year for me. All my customers want their projects back in their homes before the holidays and nowadays -I am not sure how and when it happened- the holiday season starts already before Halloween.
Last week I lost a job and a customer, and with it around $1,500. The money is not what hurts, it’s the feeling of failure and defeat. Have I done everything right? Could I have it done better?
I feel a little like Santa’s Helper. People just forget to bring me cookies.
I often wish that old furniture could talk. What a story many of these antique pieces could tell. Where do they come from? Who made them and who did they belong to? All the people they have met and most importantly, what brought them into my little workshop.
