The Republican convention starts today in Cleveland, Ohio, just a couple of hours further north from my home. I am older and wiser now -my protesting years are over since a long time- but in this case, I would make an exception.
We had dragged our husbands to the movie theater to watch the remake of the movie “Titanic” with Leanardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet. We were sitting there with great anticipation. There is birth and there is death, life is not that complicated. The same destination will be reached by all of us in the end. The question is not when we get there, but rather how we get there.
Come visit me
there is still time
to make memories
that I will treasure

And see what that man has to say.

The smell of fresh baked cookies was hanging in the air. We were playing outside, we could smell it from a mile away and it drove us crazy. I don’t think there is anything more tempting to a child than a warm, fresh-baked cookie.
I always try to get a window seat on an airplane; I love to look down at clouds -they look so different from above.
