King Charles the III, formerly known as Prince Charles, waited a long time to be king, perhaps too long? The royals in Great Britain, a business, a tourist attraction, a family as dysfunctional as many of ours, crowned their new king and queen.

Thousands and thousands of people are on the streets in London, demanding a second vote on Brexit -the exit of the European Union. In the last vote, they got it wrong too.

The results are in. Angela Merkel will go into her 4th term as German chancellor, even though her party lost almost 10% and finishes short of an absolute majority.  No big surprises here. Most of us expected the outcome, still, the election result is shocking. For the first time after World War II, a right-wing party will take a seat in the German parliament.

“SURREAL” is the word for 2016 in the USA and Canada according to the Merriam-Webster dictionary and I cannot think of a better one. I feel like I am walking in a Salvador Dali painting and I just can’t wake up.

The result from the experiment is shocking:

6 sided with the racist who discriminated and insulted a Muslim woman. 

13 stood up and spoke up for the Muslim woman, even left the bakery.

22 did nothing. They held their head down, decided it wasn’t their problem.

I watched the news today in disbelieve. The votes had been counted when I was sleeping and the results were in. Great Britain will leave the European Union (EU) and in my opinion, that means that the youth in Great Britan got screwed; they wanted to stay in the EU and they should have, it’s their future after all.
