Every snowflake is unique, just like the memories they bring.
Faces of kids are dancing around me, I can hear the laughter, I can feel the joy.
Whenever I have to say Goodbye to a friend or four-legged family member I go out and buy a plant in their memory, either for the inside or the outside. I have special orchids, rose bushes and blooming trees in memory of loved ones.

Finally, the warm weather has stopped and now it’s winter, the way it is supposed to be here in Ohio. Thick flakes have been falling to the ground all morning long and the driveway and walkway are covered with a blanket of snow.
Playing in ice and snow is normal where I come from. We were outside kids and not even snow and freezing temperatures could change that.
We climbed up the mountains with our skies, or went for a sleigh ride on an old inner tube. We build snow walls and ramps and were dreaming of becoming famous ski jumpers, because we all had been born with skies on our feet…so they say.
