Once there was a king who received a gift of two magnificent falcons. They were peregrine falcons, the most beautiful birds he had ever seen. He gave the precious birds to his head falconer to be trained.
Deep down inside, they know they are dying. This line hit me hard! It that possible? Did I smoke all those years knowing that I could die from it? Have I been in denial all those years?

Very often, I read from the “Journey to the Heart,” and I find this entry very fitting for everybody who wants to overcome an addiction like smoking.
Seriously? Does that mean I gained so much weight when I gave up smoking?

The veterinarian listened to her heartbeat and said, “She is gone,” and I almost lost it; We grabbed her leash and the collar and left. I didn’t even say bye to anybody; I just needed some fresh air. “She is gone” hit hard; it took my breath away. Our oldest dog, Cookie, had passed over the rainbow bridge. From one day to the next, only 10 years old, she stopped eating, and back then, we couldn’t afford thousands and thousands of dollars for all the tests, the blood work, the X-rays, and eventual surgery. As much as the vet could tell us, there was nothing wrong with her, they thought she might have cancer. We tried to ‘make her’ eat for fourteen long days, then it was time to make the appointment. Time to say ‘goodbye’.
All you have to do is decide whether you’re ready or not. If the seed is planted in our minds, if the vision is there, then I believe we are… It’s just finding the strength to go for it!
