I am going on a road trip today…with a smoker. Nothing fancy, just a 3-hour trip, back and forth today; a few stops in the middle with lots of talking and laughter in between -that is a given. I am all excited! My husband is working today and I am going on the road with a friend of mine and will enjoy the gorgeous day and the beautiful landscaping on our way!

Think about it, what can you do? You can’t outrun one tiger, not to mention a thousand. The thought is scary and the answer is quiet obvious. “I would give up…there is nothing I can do”.
I rarely re-blog…but would like to share this will all my followers. I found this blog today and I think I fell in love -a little bit. I even confessed it to the author, who hopefully has a good sense of humor and I will confess to my husband later :-).
An older friend of mine is a very talented painter, we know each other since years and I admire his work -and his wisdom.
The Old Mule in the Well
This parable is told of a farmer who owned an old mule. The mule fell into the farmer’s well. The farmer heard the mule ‘praying’ …or whatever mules do when they fall into wells. After carefully assessing the situation, the farmer sympathized with the mule, but decided that neither mule nor the well was worth the trouble of saving.
It is usual for people to make a 6 months “speech” of a sort, at least that’s what they did on the quittrain, but I am not there anymore, so who would listen to my speech? I am not a really a talented writer –in case you haven’t noticed- but I like to “tell” stories.
So let me tell you a story on my 6 months quit-anniversary and since it’s a special anniversary, how about a true story?
