Years ago, when I was 18 years old, at a time when cell phones and GPS systems weren’t existing, I drove all by myself from Austria down to the South of Italy. It was just me, my little car and our old farm dog -a security measure my Grandmother had insisted on.

Being an emperor or an empress for a day, think about all the wonderful things one could do -all the rules and regulation one could change. I would make radical changes, changes that might even anger a few.

Our first community garage sale is this weekend and please don’t ask me why, but I decided to participate, even though our original plans got shaken up when my husband was asked to fly to Florida for one week.

Finally, the warm weather has stopped and now it’s winter, the way it is supposed to be here in Ohio. Thick flakes have been falling to the ground all morning long and the driveway and walkway are covered with a blanket of snow.
