I am not a political blog. Perhaps my political posts are just a temporary uproar and then, sooner or later, I will get used to the situation like so many others like me. Or maybe I won’t get used to it but will pretend that everything is alright.

Doesn’t that sound like the beginning of a good joke or the beginning of a  story that would compare different races and make fun of at least two of them?

I was raised by my Grandmother, the wonderful woman who happened to be part Jewish. My Grandfather, the man I never met, died 1963, a few months before I was born. He had been sent to the concentration camps Dachau and Auschwitz; he had to wear the red triangle – like all the other political prisoners during World War II.

I remember the time when I was still struggling to learn English, and how hard I tried to learn quickly. Back then the people around me didn’t dare to ask me what I wanted to do because they always got the same answer. “Read with me, please.”

The result from the experiment is shocking:

6 sided with the racist who discriminated and insulted a Muslim woman. 

13 stood up and spoke up for the Muslim woman, even left the bakery.

22 did nothing. They held their head down, decided it wasn’t their problem.

I am still shocked and confused by the outcome of the Presidential election, and I am upset with all the people, who so arrogantly thought they know it all.

“Don’t you worry, Trump will never be President, in the end, it all will be fine. The U.S. has a way to stop people like him. We have a constitution and an election process that works.”
