blogging break 3

I took a 4-week break from blogging and it was a very interesting experience. The first days felt odd; almost like I was suffering from blogging withdrawal -if there is such a thing to begin with.

Wanting something to quench your thirst, what would you drink?

I make my own flavored water and that’s what I drink when I am thirsty. There is always a pitcher in my fridge and I try to use the fruits or vegetables that are in season.

Fear works like breaks on a car. There is no moving forward and no going back, we stay there frozen like a deer in the headlights, whenever we hit the fear-pedal.

Writing our weekly shopping list is not my favorite thing to do. Once again I was sitting there between cookbooks and recipe cards, trying to come up with some ideas for a balanced or not so balanced meal plan.

I wish our refrigerator could talk. I mean why not? Everything else seems to be able to talk these days; GPS systems, phones, check out registers and cars, so why can’t our appliances talk?

I think open shelving system is something my generation invented, because they weren’t really around when I grew up -at least not on our farm. Everything was more hidden back then or behind glass. We had a little shelf in the kitchen and a small one in the living room, but nothing like the shelves we use today.

It will be the first day on this Earth for many

they will celebrate this day for years.

Others will die today and will be remembered

by people who will be shedding tears.

Sooner or later there comes a day when we realize that we are mortal. One day we will be gone. “Game over” and I think it frightens us at first.

Will people remember me? What legacy do I leave behind?
