In September 2010, we walked into a pawn shop in Memphis, Tennessee, and placed a used desktop computer on layaway. Their asking price was $225, and we could pay it off $50 a week. One of these marvelous all-in-one desktops — it came with a wired mouse and a keyboard, and even a monitor.

My newest toy is a free program called “Grammarly” -an extension to Google Chrome. The word “free” is a magical world to me, I got curious and had to download it.  I mean come on, why wouldn’t I do that, it doesn’t cost a thing? (What can I say, I am cheap but not easy). Better grammar, better punctuation, and a spell check for everything I write online…yeah Baby, you just can’t top that!

spring cleaning

I have read so many wonderful stories and I have met so many great people over the last 2 years. Sitting on my desk, reading and writing has felt like a mini vacation each and every time; blogging became my guilty pleasure.
