In American football, a blitz is a defense strategy. The opponent rushes to the quarterback in an attempt to get the ball. Blitz means flash in my native language, German/Austrian.

I watched my husband texting in snail speed -due to the one-finger-search-system he uses on any keyboard- and so I interfered. Helpful, as only loving spouses can be, I showed him the little microphone on his phone, and asked him to use it.

‘How do you want your eggs?’ the waitress asked.
It was our weekly routine. She asked, and I didn’t know what to say.

“I was thinking about taking out a loan, please,” I mumbled and felt a little embarrassed. I wouldn’t be in this situation if I would have planned better.

Today’s one-word prompt is OBJECT. Gosh I don’t like the new one-word prompts, they make me feel like a dog. They throw me a bone, instead of giving me a complete meal and I have to make the best out of it. Filling but not satisfying.
I was a great student, loved school and was a fast learner. Went to the the highest school the Gymnasium, had good grades 1-2 (A-B) no drama at all…until I decided to learn English as well. I mastered Latin and Old Greek, spoke German and Italian from an early age on. English would be just a walk in the park, such a simple language…I had been told.
