Week 48 already, surely Cee must be mistaken. This year is almost over, how did that happen?
Do you prefer eating foods with nuts or no nuts?
I don’t mind the nuts, we are friends since a long time. I like their company and eat with them anytime. 🙂

Last week has been hectic and eventful. There was Thanksgiving -Friendsgiving in our home- and then there was the first meeting of my Fabulous 50+ Women’s meetup group.

How did I become a pompous ass? I am not into pomp and glitter; I am not a show-off; I was raised differently.
My oldest Godchild is getting married and I have the honor to give a speech at the wedding.
His Mom was my best friend and today, more than ever, do I wish she still would be with us, so we could work on this speech together.

I hated Thanksgiving for so many years. It was my nightmare Holiday and I was always glad when it was over. Thanksgiving is a cruel Holiday when you don’t have family left; it makes you feel like an outsider looking in.

“As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them.” ~ John Fitzgerald Kennedy
“What makes you feel loved” that is this weeks writing challenge at Impromptu Promptlings and I thought about it last night.
My husband always jokes that I am the poster child for optimism in this world. My best friend, who passed away, last year, said pretty much the same thing about me. She always joked “you would get up after an earthquake, would look around and be happy, that you won’t have to dust anymore”, and there might be some truth to it.
Didn’t we just recently have a prompt like that? And, what is wrong with my new friend that we can’t communicate?
