Great quote! I thought it might be a good reminder, at a time, when the free press is being attacked over and over again. As a matter of fact, I want to thank all the brave women and men who -with their pencils and keyboards- try to shed some light on some things that are hidden in the dark.

What a history this show has. The list of distinguished hosts includes names like Barbara Walters, Tom Brokaw, Bryant Gumbel, Katie Couric and Meredith Vieira. Even Matt Lauer, who got fired for sexual misconduct in November, could be named as a good journalist in his early years. Yes, there was a time when good journalism was part of the show.

Bad news – Fake news – Biased news – Bad media – Bad press – Lying press. We all heard the slogans lately and I couldn’t help research it a bit more.
For a time, “bias” was the term of choice to describe anything people hated about journalism, whether the power and influence of corporate news organizations to the choices reporters made in writing individual stories. Ladies and Gentlemen! Walk right in, this is my biased blog, and I am proud of it. My little internet nirvana, my escape from reality or my rude awakening. One will see, what one wants to see I suppose.
If I wouldn’t watch this on a computer I would think somehow I flew back in time and I got thrown into the 50’s.

We, as a nation, have lost it. We have lost focus, and we are losing it more and more every day.

Sometimes I come across an article or a story that doesn’t leave me alone. People I don’t know -and never will know- are all of a sudden on my mind for days.
