Saturday movie night is still exciting for me, just the way it has been 40 years ago. Times sure have changed. Now we stream a movie right into our living room without leaving our home. If we can’t find something interesting, then we splurge a little and order a PPV.

We all have seen pictures of famous ceiling paintings and can name a few. On top of the list is of course the “Sistine Chapel” in the Vatican and even I, who is not a fan of this little tax free State in the middle of Italy, yes, even I took my time and was laying on the floor for an hour -like so many tourists from all over the world; I wanted to take it all in, wanted to admire Michelangelo’s masterpiece, wanted to look at his famous colorful fresco.

Extremism is at its height at the moment, to deny that is to put one’s head in the sand. There is no place for hate based upon religion, culture, race , ethnicity or sexuality and it should not be tolerated. The lesson from all this cannot be that we have to watch what we say. I’d like to see every paper/magazine in the free world reprint the same cartoon that supposedly invoked this “vengeance” to show support and strength…to show that we will not be intimidated.
