First by the hundreds, then by thousands
New and better ski slopes were needed
Lifts and hotels were built to attract tourists

The next time you see a homeless person on the streets, think of me. As many know, we were houseless for a few months just thirteen years ago. And no I have to ask a favor, please.

January is almost over and I still haven’t written my review of the year we just left behind. I don’t like walking backward into the future but feel I would if I don’t lay last year down to rest as a memory. It was an eventful year. Twelve months full of challenges, successes, and failures. Great movies and wonderful books were part of my journey, as were plastic bottles and dirty tubs.

My quest to help save this planet was doomed to fail right from the start. “Put the lunch meat and the cheese in my containers, no plastic bags, please,” and with a determined, but not confident smile I handed her my food containers, yet she didn’t take them.
I got a new app on my phone, a WATER-DRINK-REMINDER, which has as the name states, the sole purpose to remind me to drink more water throughout the day, because I have the tendency to forget the world around me when I work. Including coffee and tea, my Drinking Goal is 128 Oz of water a day =1 Gallon. I have a physical job and sweating during the summer months seems to be a part of my day. Also, I work out and exercise.

With all the rain, mosquitoes are sure to follow. They love me, they would suck me dry if they could, but not this year. This year I am building the ultimate mosquito trap.

he waited four days,
he then amputated
his own arm with a pocketknife.
