
Most of my blogging friends are so much adventurous than I ever could be. What will I do in the new year to be better, to be healthier, to be more balanced? I have no clue. If I don’t watch it, I will just end up doing more of the same -again.

People always tell me, “Don’t put the cart
before the horse,” which is curious
because I don’t have a horse.
Is this some new advancement in public shaming—
repeatedly drawing one’s attention
to that which one is currently not, and never
has been, in possession of?

I have walked through many lives,
some of them my own,
and I am not who I was,
though some principle of being
abides, from which I struggle
not to stray.

I noticed the silence, turned around and looked at her on my screen. The young girl just stood there, didn’t say a word and at first, I didn’t understand.

They say I am a baby murdering liberal, a leftie, a snowflake. They call me an atheist, just because I openly admit to NOT KNOW. Many names are used to describe people like me since last year November.

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them.

The United States of America will leave the Paris Climate Agreement. The decision angered me, and once again I felt helpless, and I know a lot of you, on both sides of the aisle, feel exactly the way I do.
