I was recently asked if I could fill in for a judge at an international school project. I felt honored and couldn’t wait to see what the kids would come up with.

Like a sock in a wrong drawer, being overlooked and sometimes pushed around for no other reason than not matching.

I think the question is wrong. It’s not IF we spend time in the past, but HOW we spend it. Are we grateful or regretful? Do we cherish the moments we had with loved ones, or do we still mourn even if decades have passed?

First thing in the morning, on my daily quest to find laughter to set the mood for the rest of my day, I often find unexpected treasures, and many of them make me cry happy tears.

Everyone should be born into this world happy
and loving everything.
But in truth, it rarely works that way.
For myself, I have spent my life clamoring toward it.

Sometime last year, it must have been summer, my husband and I got into quite a predicament. We were in the middle of decluttering our home when we both started to feel guilty when we saw the amount of things we had accumulated.
