“I think I need to tell you that I am getting older,” he said, almost as he would ask for my permission.

“I noticed,” I looked at him and smiled.

“I just thought I needed to let you know.”

“I am glad you did and it’s fine with me. I am getting older too.”

“I haven’t noticed,” he said and it made me smile even more.

I love our home and I keep it clean and welcoming. Things are in order, even though my husband doesn’t seem to get the order at all times. I have a  junk drawer or two, but that’s about it. I just cleaned out all the closets and cabinets during my annual spring cleaning; there is a bag with donation stuff in the garage and a few boxes are just waiting for the upcoming community garage sale.

Writing our weekly shopping list is not my favorite thing to do. Once again I was sitting there between cookbooks and recipe cards, trying to come up with some ideas for a balanced or not so balanced meal plan.

My oldest Godchild is getting married and I have the honor to give a speech at the wedding.

His Mom was my best friend and today, more than ever, do I wish she still would be with us, so we could work on this speech together.

One day my husband came home with two little folding tables, at least that’s what I thought they were. I put one in our living room, right beside the window and used it for some of my favorite plants, the other one went in our bedroom and was used for magazines and books. They were just the right size.
