What is your favorite holiday?
I am agnostic, I have no beliefs or none-beliefs, but I like to watch people when they enjoy a time that is special to them. People are kinder during the Holiday Season, especially around Christmas and Hannukah.

While attending a marriage seminar on communication, Jim, and his wife listened to the instructor declare:

My husband hasn’t smoked in 4 months today. 120 days without cigarettes is quite an accomplishment, for someone who used to smoke for 46 years.
“You set the bar pretty high,” he said, and I almost felt sorry for him. I know I did; I quit so easily, I knew right from the start there was no going back.

For years I thought we had magical dirt in our home; somehow it could only be seen by me. I never understood how it worked, but I assumed the dirt could decide when to show itself and for some odd reason, it decides to only do so when I was around.

My husband has gained some weight since he quit smoking. I noticed it a couple of weeks ago, and it made me smile. Life has its good moments.
I read today’s word prompt and all I could think of was “my” song -our song. Whatever I would write about, couldn’t possibly be as good as the song lyrics to “True Companion.” So, I decided to post this song with its lyrics. And, if you are lucky as I am, and you are loved by a wonderful partner, who you love more than the sprinkles on the ice cream, then, you will understand.

I follow so many bloggers who seem to be struggling with their own identity. “I feel lost,” that’s a statement I have read over and over. It always makes me wonder what happened to them. How can you get lost, if you are always there?

I am on day #3 of juicing and my husband has just spent the first 9 days as an ex-smoker in his adult life. Needless to say, things in our house can be tense right now.

We were both smokers when we met and continued to smoke together throughout the years. We huddled up in front of a heater or a grill in the wintertime and sweat together in the summer time. For richer and poorer, through cold and heat-we were were a smoking team…and then I quit.
