Politicians are public servants. The President of the United States is the commander-in-chief of the Military. He is not my commander-in-chief, we are not at war, and I am not in the army. Civilians don’t have a commander-in-chief besides their spouses -but that’s a subject for another time.
The conversation with my friend didn’t go the way I was hoping for. It felt odd, and it made me realize that we have drifted apart during the last months.

I liked the quote when I heard it for the first time when we watched the movie. Now it’s printed and hanging in my workroom. A simple, everyday reminder that I should not give up hope.

A long time ago there was a great Shah. He ordered to build a beautiful palace which had many wonderful things in it. Among other curiosities in the palace, there was a hall, where all the walls, the ceiling, the door and even the floor were made of mirror.
Are you a traveler or a homebody?
I am a retired traveler. I traveled the world, and now I like being at home -but I start to get antsy. The right lottery numbers and we will become gypsies. 🙂
