I am reading a book that tickles my funny bone. It’s absolutely hilarious. Sadly, I can not recommend this book to everybody. The ones who believe that they have a direct line to heaven should avoid this book but for the rest of us, who are open-minded and are cursed with a sense of humor, this book is a must read.

1863 Black soldiers were allowed to serve their country
1917 Women were allowed to serve their country
2011 Gay women and men were allowed to serve their country
2017 We forbid Transsexuals to serve their country.

“Please, sign here and give up your car.”
“What do you mean, give up my car? What will I be driving?”

Bad news – Fake news – Biased news – Bad media – Bad press – Lying press. We all heard the slogans lately and I couldn’t help research it a bit more.
For a time, “bias” was the term of choice to describe anything people hated about journalism, whether the power and influence of corporate news organizations to the choices reporters made in writing individual stories. In 2001, in fact, a book about media unfairness entitled “Bias” was number one on the New York Times bestseller list.

We are writing our own version of the Handmaiden’s Tale, and it’s a brutal one.
