My husband disappointed me quite a bit throughout our marriage, especially during our first years as husband and wife. He was not the mindreader I needed him to be. He, just like me, had envisioned how married life would be, and as so often, some of our dreams were shattered by reality.
Yesterday in the afternoon the phone rang. I answered, as usual having my phone on the phone stand on speaker, so I can continue typing, working, or playing, while talking to whoever is on the other line at the same time. Multitasking, a task I should have given up years ago.
A gentlemen round around my age -give or take a few years- wanted to know if I could help him, he had an odd request. Don’t they all?

The following is not a try to find excuses, and it’s not meant to downplay women’s accusations. It’s just my view of the world, and I apologize in advance for being thought-provoking.

Men so heartless ruled the earth for many years

We love them so much, and then a health scare comes along and reminds us that nothing lasts forever. The realization that one day, what we have and hold so dear to our heart could be taken away from us, takes our breath away.
We watched Bruce Jenner’s interview with Diane Sawyer and like so many, I felt sympathy. I can’t imagine how it must be, to feel lost in your own body. Wanting to be a different gender is beyond my capability of understanding.
I am happily married to 98% of the time. I love my husband dearly, he is my best friend and the nail to my coffin :-). However, there are days, when I want to whack him the frying pan and I assume he feels the same way. There are days, when we seem to talk two different languages. It took me 30+ years of marriage, but I finally found the answer:
