The election of the Pope begins tomorrow and Francis’ succession is still considered open. The choice of the name of a new pope is also eagerly awaited because the name says a lot about the agenda of the NEW ONE.

I always respected and admired Pope Francis because he represented and promoted the true values of Christianity, and not power and authority.

Today in the morning I smiled when I got ready for the day and it took me by surprise. I felt calm. So much has changed in such a short time. I had no idea how frustrated and hopeless I had felt until it all went away.

I have been raised with Catholics believes, by a woman who had to hide in the Italian Alps during WWII because she happened to be half Jewish. She didn’t bother telling me about it, until there was not much time left to talk about it. She took me in and she made it happen that I could spent 12 school years in a elite boarding school in the South of Germany, five hours away from our farm in the Alps -even though we were rather poor.

I own an invisible poke stick; it gives me the power to hit a special nerve in people whenever I chose to do so. I have the ability to piss people off with just one remark or a short sentence. It’s a gift or a curse -depends on how you look at it.
Every year in the night of October 31st, horrible creatures are roaming the streets and houses and gardens are eerily beautiful decorated. Where does this tradition come from? Why do we dress up and try to scare people? Why do we carve spooky faces into pumpkins?
