I often wonder why and how people vote, not just here but all over the world, at least in the parts where we are allowed to vote freely, where our voices are heard. What a difference we can make when we vote, but so often we cast our ballot without thinking.

I remember a time when we had political parties. They didn’t rule our everyday lives, neither was anything they did (or didn’t do) so interesting that we lost any sleep over it. We read the news and political discussion happened at the BBQ at the neighbor’s house, at work in the breakroom, or even after church.

Tulsi Gabbard, who I also happen to like, who also happens to be female, is still in the Presidential race. I totally forgot about her.

One year of Trump, what is left to say, that hasn’t been said or written on my blog and so many others. One year later I am still upset and in shock about Trump and his supporters, nothing has changed. My willingness to accept him and all the backward changes he and his rich friends are making, is still zero.

I still wake up and wish it all would be just a dream. Much has changed during the last six months. I still laugh a lot and giggle like a little girl, but there is also a sadness in me that you can often see -and hear- when I read or watch the news.

A very good friend of mine lives in the South -that’s where we met years ago- and I know as a fact that she voted and believes in Donald Trump. She is a diehard conservative, and over the years we were able to block it out. We didn’t talk about politics at all, it was the elephant in the room, that we never mentioned.
