moping

I think that’s one of the prompts where I am supposed to say, “No, I don’t mope -never,” and it would be such a lie, because I do and I am good at it.  Not just good, I need it and there is nothing wrong with it -at least not in my books.

The result from the experiment is shocking:

6 sided with the racist who discriminated and insulted a Muslim woman.

13 stood up and spoke up for the Muslim woman, even left the bakery.

22 did nothing. They held their head down, decided it wasn’t their problem.

“I always wanted to play Santa,” my husband said, and instantly he looked like a little boy, and I couldn’t help but laugh. We had just stopped at an estate sale, and there it was in all its glory, a Santa costume with belt and beard.

I had this iron rule. I would not hire anybody with a felony for a violent crime, and I would not hire an addict. And now guess what? Exactly! I hired a new helper for my workshop, and she is both. She is an addict, and she spent one year in prison for a violent crime.

Dear Diary,

I am so glad you are my friend. I carry your key around my neck or hide it in my room, to make sure nobody can read our secrets. Imagine someone would find you, and all my secrets would be spilled and shared with everybody, that would be so humiliating. I can’t even imagine.

Missing socks squad.

Something is going on in our house, and it’s just not right. Socks are disappearing left and right, and I would be okay with it -we all know they vanish into thin air- but I don’t like how it all goes down.

audio-books

I love audiobooks. What a great way to get to know a book by listening to it.

The other day we were working on a project and my helper -the young women I will soon tell you about -and I listened to “A Man Called Ove.” We worked quietly, we were both captured by the story.

My neighbor across the street is fighting the demon so many of us will have to fight in our lifetime. She has cancer, stage IV, and the outlook is not good, not good at all.

I am still shocked and confused by the outcome of the Presidential election, and I am upset with all the people, who so arrogantly thought they know it all.

“Don’t you worry, Trump will never be President, in the end, it all will be fine. The U.S. has a way to stop people like him. We have a constitution and an election process that works.”

Really Sherlock, and how did that work out for you?
