Diane, over at “Ladies who Lunch reviews, etc.” had the nerve to tag me for the A-Song-A-Day-Challenge. My husband laughed out loud when I told him about it. “You are going to lose a few followers,” he said, and I just nodded.

I look around, and I can’t help but smile; I feel proud to be one of them. I see confidence and courage, we show it in the way we walk and talk. I can’t remember seeing this when I was young, but then perhaps I didn’t have an eye for it then, didn’t know what to look for.

As you all know, I love my meetup group and have a splendid time meeting women close to my own age but one thing was bothering me, and I didn’t really know how to address the issue.

Starting a women meetup group for active ladies over 50, was my attempt to reach out in the city where I live and now -not even five months later- we are 112 members. What a fun group of women we are!

Ohio passed a bill last night, a bill that would drastically change the abortion rights. It is called the HEARTBEAT BILL but I would recommend to rename it to HEARTBREAK BILL instead.

Last week has been hectic and eventful. There was Thanksgiving -Friendsgiving in our home- and then there was the first meeting of my Fabulous 50+ Women’s meetup group.

“Where do you live and what do you like about your city?” was one of the questions I have been asked here on my blog, and my honest reply surprised me a little bit. “I live in Columbus, Ohio and I don’t like it here at all.”

“Rats are leaving the sinking ship.” I always wondered about this saying. Does that make the rats smart, because they can sense that the ship is sinking, or does it make them hypocrites because they are leaving?
